This year's International Day Against Homophobia (IDAHO) will be marked by a candlelight vigil in Chater Gardens, Central, at 7pm on Monday 17 May. Please come if you can and spread this message as widely as you can, too.

The ceremony will take place in front of the Legco Building and will last till 9pm. The international theme of 'Religion and Homophobia and Transphobia' will be replicated in HK.

The programme will include a commemoration of acts of homophobia and transphobia by readings and a display, a moment of silence for the victims, a symbolic 'die in' (optional!), short speeches by contributors and guests and a candlelight vigil.

The programme organiser is Francis Tang of Gay Harmony, and the MC will be Jimmy Sham of Rainbow of HK.
